Adnan el Shukrijumah is a suspected operative of the al Qaida terror network and is wanted as a material witness by law enforcement authorities in the United States in connection for a possible attack on the U.S. or U.S. interests abroad.
He is a small man, standing between five feet three inches and five feet six inches, with black hair and dark eyes, and weighs about 130 pounds. He is known to have traveled on a Guyanese passport, but using aliases Adnan G. el Shukri Jumah, Abu Arif, Ja'far al-Tayar and Jaffar al-Tayyar, he also may be using Canadian, Saudi or Trinidadian papers.
El Shukrijumah was last seen in early 2003 in the Miami or southern Florida area where he was receiving flight training similar to that taken by some of the men involved in the September 11, 22001, attacks. He has not been seen since, though some reports put him in Morocco.
The Rewards for Justice program is offering a reward of up to five million dollars for information leading to el Shukrijumah's arrest or prosecution.
The U.S. guarantees that all reports will be investigated and the identity of all informants will be kept confidential. If appropriate, the U.S. is prepared to protect informants by relocating them.
