The United States condemns in the strongest possible terms, January 24th's terrorist bombing of Moscow's Domodedovo airport.

"I want to express the solidarity of the American people with the Russian people in the aftermath of this premeditated attack against innocent civilians. Michelle and I offer our deepest condolences to the Russian people, who have suffered greatly at the hands of terrorism," said President Barack Obama in a statement delivered by White House spokesman Robert Gibbs. "Our thoughts are with the families of the victims and we are praying for a successful recovery for all of those who were injured."

The bomb, set off by a suicide bomber, killed at least thirty five people and injured over 130 others. The attack took place at Moscow’s busiest airport in the meet-and-greet area of the international arrivals hall, where passengers are met after they pass through customs control. Consequently, citizens from Great Britain, Ukraine, Tajikistan, France, Italy, and Slovakia were also killed or wounded.

No cause can justify the killing of innocent civilians and the United States stands in solidarity with Russia against terrorism. "The United States remains ready to support the Russian government as it seeks to bring these perpetrators to justice," said U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.

"We stand with the people of Russia in this moment of sorrow and we offer our deepest sympathy to the families and loved ones of those injured and killed.

"The United States condemns terrorism and all forms of violence against the innocent, wherever it occurs. We stand with the victims of these crimes and we will continue to work with the international community to combat violent extremism that threatens peace-loving people everywhere."
