View From Washington: Sanctions And Iran's Humanitarian Needs
The United States has taken action so that sanctions imposed on Iran -- because of its failure to comply with its nuclear obligations -- do not impede Iran’s humanitarian imports. The Treasury Department expanded the list of medical supplies that can be sent to Iran not requiring a specific license, including such items as EKGs and dialysis machines.
