View From Washington: Discussions Continue Between Iran And P5+1
After two days of discussions earlier this month over Iran’s nuclear program, representatives of the Islamic Republic and the group of nations known as the P5+1 agreed to meet again in Geneva in November to continue talks. At a press briefing, State Department Spokesperson Jen Psaki, also spoke positively about the discussions. “From talking to our team on the ground, their view is that we have never had detailed technical discussions at this level before, that Iran addressed what they saw as the objective of… what they might do as a first step, and also what should be in a final step. But with all that being said, there’s of course, a great deal more work than needs to be done.”
