View From Washington: U.S. Moves Against Hezbollah's Financial Support

U.S. Treasury Under Secretary David Cohen announced that the U.S. has designated two Lebanese exchange houses, Kassem Rmeiti and Company and the Halawi Exchange, for money laundering -- moving funds from criminal activities like drug trafficking through U.S. financial institutions -- in support of the Lebanon-based terrorist group Hezbollah.
