View From Washington: Iran and Geneva II

The United States, along with many nations in the international community, is hoping that a peace conference will take place next month that will lead to a negotiated end to the violence that Bashar al Assad has unleashed on the Syrian people in the wake of peaceful protests against his government two and a half years ago – violence that has been supported and assisted by Iran, Assad’s closest ally.
