Remembering Operation Anfal

This month marks the observance of the 28th anniversary of the beginning of Operation Anfal, then-Iraqi President Saddam Hussein’s murderous campaign against the populations in northern Iraq. The al-Anfal campaign, began in 1986 and ended in 1989.
