The State Department is combating the resurgence of far-left political terrorism by identifying and disrupting the international networks that organize, facilitate, and commit acts of violence.
Most recently, the United States has imposed sanctions against Autistici/Inventati, or “A/I Collective,” and other entities across transnational far-left terrorist networks.
The A/I Collective is an Italy-based extremist group that supplies the digital infrastructure for Antifa cells and other radical left-wing networks in the United States, Europe, and elsewhere. A/I’s digital services are built to provide far-left terrorist groups with the means to organize, recruit, communicate, and carry out violent attacks – all while remaining beyond the reach of the law. Its tools are used to share target information, tactical manuals and techniques, and communiqués by left-wing militants, including many violent Antifa groups in the United States.
Other groups designated include, Palestine Action, a United Kingdom (UK)-based organization proscribed as a terrorist group by the UK government in July 2025; and the transnational group Masar Badil, which operates as a front for the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, a designated Foreign Terrorist Organization.
As a result of these actions, all property and interests of those designated that are subject to U.S. jurisdiction are blocked, and all U.S. persons are generally prohibited from engaging in any transactions with them.
Violent far-left terrorist networks pose a threat to the United States and its partners. As such, “there will be no refuge for violent extremists who wage war on our civilization and plot to undermine law and order, destroy critical infrastructure, assault political opponents, or conceal their crimes from authorities,” vowed State Department spokesperson Tommy Pigott in a statement. “We will use all the tools and authorities at our disposal to fight terrorism and protect our way of life.”
“Far-left extremists, their fronts, and their enablers should be on notice,” warned Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent. “We will bring the full weight of our economic tools to bear. Political terrorism has no place in our society, and we will continue to cut the financial lifelines of these groups until they are eliminated.”
