Sovereign Nations Must Protect Their Borders

A major crisis faced and overcome by the Trump administration was the colossal invasion at the United States’ southern border. As a result of closing the border, said President Donald Trump in a speech to the United Nations General Assembly, “for the last four months. . .the number of illegal aliens admitted and entering our country has been zero.”

“Our message is very simple. If you come illegally into the United States, you’re going to jail, or you’re going back to where you came from.”

Other nations must do the same, urged President Trump. But unfortunately, the UN has not only done nothing to solve the crisis of uncontrolled migration, it has made it worse, stated President Trump.

“The United Nations is funding an assault on Western countries and their borders. In 2024, the U.N. budgeted $372 million in cash assistance to support an estimated 624,000 migrants journeying into the United States.”

The U.N. also provided food, shelter, transportation, and debit cards to illegal aliens on the way to infiltrate the southern border. “What took place is totally unacceptable,” said President Trump.

“The U.N. is supposed to stop invasions, not create them, and not finance them. In the United States, we reject the idea that mass numbers of people from foreign lands can be permitted to travel halfway around the world, trample our borders, violate our sovereignty, cause unmitigated crime, and deplete our social safety net. We have reasserted that America belongs to the American people, and I encourage all countries to take their own stand in defense of their citizens as well.”

Europe is under serious threat from years of mass migration, warned President Trump.

“They’ve been invaded by a force of illegal aliens like nobody has ever seen before. Illegal aliens are pouring into Europe. And nobody is doing anything to change it, to get them out. It’s not sustainable. And because they choose to be politically correct, they’re doing absolutely nothing about it.”

According to the Council of Europe, in 2024, almost 50 percent of inmates in German prisons were foreign nationals or migrants. In Austria, the number was 53 percent of the people in prisons were from places that weren’t from where they are now, President Trump observed. “[I]t’s time to end the failed experiment of open borders.”

Closing America’s borders was a humanitarian act for all involved, said President Trump, in addition to preventing women from being raped on the journey north, it was also a historic victory against human trafficking throughout Latin America. The previous administration lost nearly 300,000 children, who were trafficked into the United States, many of whom have been raped, exploited, abused, and sold. Many have been found and so far, almost 30,000 children have been returned to their families.

“Any system that results in the mass trafficking of children is inherently evil,” stated President Trump. “Yet that is exactly what the globalist migration agenda has done, and it’s what it’s all about. In America, those days, as you know, are over.”

Every nation has an obligation to control its borders. So together, urged President Trump, “let us uphold our sacred duty to our people and to our citizens. Let us protect their borders, ensure their safety, preserve their cultures, treasure, and traditions, and fight, fight, fight for their precious dreams and their cherished freedoms.”
