Policy Brief: Mediation For South Sudan Crisis
Violence in the world's newest country has claimed thousands of lives and forced about 200,000 people from their homes, according to U.N. estimates. The United States remains “deeply committed” to efforts to bring an end to violence in South Sudan, said U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry.
